hello everyone

i have a 10gb hdd with win98se on the partion and the rest basicly free, the format is FAT32. i have gotten the ranish partioning tool.
# type row file system type cyl head sect
0 mbr master Boot Record 0 0 1
1 pri unused 0 0 2
2 pri 1 windows FAT-32 LBA 0 1 1

it displays that information, when clicking on hdd properties i get 1.24 gb used 8.06 gb free.question, is it safe to repartion the 10gb hdd into say 4gb and 6gb leaving plenty of room for 98 O.S.
on the 4gb partion?, are the 1.24gb that are used all in the same area?if i want a 4gb and a 6gb partion do i first resize the primary
(2nd) partion to say 4gb and then the newly created 3rd partion to the rest probably slightly smaller then 6gb? i want to put win2k
on the new partion. thanks john
