I just built the following system...

AMD Sempron 3100+
ASUS K8V SE Deluxe
Kingston PC3200 512MB
Albatron geFORCE FX5200
Western Digital WD800JB (set on master on primary)
Thermaltake Purepower 420W PSU
USB mouse
PS2 keyboard
IDE CDRom Drive (set on master on secondary)

During the POST, the memory is read fine. When it reads the USB mouse it takes a while but finally finds it. Then when it reads the two IDE devices it takes a while but finally finds them. The boot takes about two minutes. Does anybody know what is going on?

I have turned off the raid controllers in the bios. The only thing installed on the computer is windows xp pro sp1a and the hd is formatted ntfs.
