My wife is getting a new graphics card at work. She does primarily graphic design, ie Photoshop. She doesn't need it for video work (or video games for that matter) at all. I've always heard that if you do this kind of work, that a different kind of video card is optimal (ie - not just a high end Geforce card, etc).

Is this true? And if so, does anyone have any recommendations?
