On my desktop I created a folder containing shortcuts that I don’t use as much as the ones I have left on my desktop. When I open this folder, I would like to view all of the shortcuts as “Icons” (View>Icons) rather than “Tiles”. I change the setting to Icons, but when I restart my computer (and sometime it’s after a few restarts) it reverts back to Tiles. "Remember each folders view settings" is checked under the Tools>Folder Options>View tab.

Could it possibly be attributed to the fact that the folder has been created directly on the desktop, or the fact that all of the files in the folder are shortcut files? Keep in mind I want the view to be in Icon mode for only this folder, not all folders. Can anyone help? Thanks.
