I understand your reasons for locking the thread and I'm not considering arguing them to be honest I agree with you on locking the thread. On closer inspection I noticed speedstr is listed as a banned user? Is this his own edit or have you banned him too boot? If so I can only presume you had more reasons beyond his posts on this thread to warrant such action. At least I would hope so, we have all stepped over the line at some point.
