Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can offer any info on how to slipstream sp3 into office 2000 pro. I've done it before for office xp, but all the instructions I've found on the net do not account for the difference in filenames after an administrative install point is created.

For Office XP:
. Click start.
. Click Run.
. Type "[MSOfficeXPPro Path]\setup.exe /a"
(This will install a VALID ADMINISTRATIVE POINT INSTALLATION).
. Make location and install to C:\OfficeXPPro.
. Click Yes to accept the License Agreement. Let it install.
. Extract the oxpsp2a.exe to (C:\adminupdate).
. Click Start.
. Click Run.
. Type "msiexec /p C:\adminupdate\MAINSP2ff.msp /a C:\OfficeXPPro\pub.msi".
. Click Yes to accept the License Agreement. Let it install.

----

. Click Start.
. Click Run.
. Type "msiexec /p C:\adminupdate\Owc10SP2ff.msp /a C:\OfficeXPPro\owc10.msi".
. Click Yes to accept the License Agreement. Let it install.
After extracting SP3 for Office 2000, I have the following files in C:\adminupdate :

C:\adminupdate --> outlctlx.exe, ARTSP3ff.msp, MAINSP3ff.msp, SP3CD2ff.msp

After creating two administrative install points, one in C:\Office2000CD1 and in C:\Office2000CD2, I have the following files to work with:

C:\Office2000CD1 --> data1.msi, MSOWC.MSI

C:\Office2000CD1 --> data2.msi

I'm really not sure what to do next. I've also heard that SP3 cannot be installed unless "Microsoft Office 2000 Professional Service Release 1a (SR-1a)" has been installed first. Is the case, then I'm really confused.

Can someone provide the steps for this, and not the steps for Office XP (which is all I've been coming across)?

Thanks!
