Hardware problem!
I have already posted a similar thread on here about this!
I thought i had fixed it but i havnt!
I have recently bought a new pc case!
When i came to installing all my equiptment in this new case i found that the ide cables were not long enough for both cd rw and dvd rom drive, so i decided to go without the dvd until i get a new ide cable!
I have recently purchased a long ide cable and put it in!
Since i have done this neither 3d mark or any games will work on my pc? however i have no troubles getting on the net!
I have returned to using my old cables in hope that it will work again, but it doesnt!
I have dismantled my pc and rebuilt it, re seated everything and done a clean up of all the boards.
I have also checked to see if there are any file conflicts which there are none, i have done disk defrag, system restore, disk clean up and checked for any viruses.
How can changing the cables perform so much damage?
I have checked that the cables are the correct ones!
Can anyone help me please?
Thanks in advance
Dave
