I recently had problems with my browser locking up. I was given this link by another member:

http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-GB;q281679

I wasn't able to fix it by going through the regsvr32 method, but was able to get my browser working by repairing the system
with the win 2000 cd. Now 2 weeks later, I'm having the same problem again. I repaired it with the windows 2000 cd again (browser fixed) and
just for grins, I decided to check each individual file dll file through the run screen. Turns out 3 files never got fixed even though the browser issue was fixed.

These files (Msjava.dll, Actprxy.dll, and Oleaut32.dll). When I type in regsvr2 /i msjava.dll it gives me this msg:

"Msjava.dll was loaded, but dllinstall entry point was not found. Dll install may not be exported or a corrupt msjava.dll may be in memory. Consider using PView to detect and remove it." It gives the same msg for the remaining dll files.

I've look at several sources online, but nothing has been helpful. Most of the problems claim a bad update for for IE in Win 98. Not much information for 2000. The thing is, I haven't updated anything on my computer (minus antivirus updates) in the past month. Running the Windows 2000 repair disk twice has not helped.

Is it possible for me to copy these files from another windows 2000 system? Will they have a version difference and will this matter. Will this permanentely fix my browser issue? Any ideas how my dll files keep getting corrupted?

Any help provided will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
