Fat12, Fat16, Fat32
I was re-partitioning my HD on the weekend.
I decided to create a 5Mb partition to dedicate to XOSL.
When I went to install it and told it the DOS drive letter it said it couldn't find a valid FAT16 drive.
I used GDISK that comes with Norton Ghost to do:
GDISK 1 /Status and the information that came back said that the partition I had created was 8Mb and was Fat12.
All other partitions were Fat32.
I tried 256Mb and that was Fat16, so I tried 128Mb and it was also Fat16.
As it was about 3am I decided to leav it at that.
What is the smallest partition size to be Fat16 ?
I didn't even know there was a Fat12.
