IE6 The Page Will Not Display or DNS Error but the page will display in AOL!
Hi,
I prefer to use IE to surf but there are some webpages that will not display in IE but if I try the IE browser in AOL 5 I will access the page. Three sites where this happens are:
http://www.broadbandreports.com/foru...ty,1~mode=flat
http://content.nejm.org/
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/Categor...1,,405,00.html
I have emptied my Temp.Int.files and history and restarted the computer, but it hasn't helped.
A friend suggested I use some anonymizer page to access the site - it did work, but when I tried to use it again or continue to search it said I had to purchase it! I asked an AOL tech if there was a problem with their DNS server and he didn't know what I was talking about.
Does anyone know why I can't access certain pages with IE but can access them immediately thru the AOL browser? I find this very frustrating.
Thank you.
Sincerely, Nancee
Edit: Also, under Settings in IE for TIF, it is set to check for newer version every visit to the page.
