Gigabyte BX2000 mobo and Cel 1.1G
Hi Guy's
HEre is what I have..
Gigabyte BX2000 mother board, BIOS updated to f7 (have just d/l f9 ready to update again)
PII-400 CPU
256Mb PC-133 SD RAM
40Gb HDD
GeForce 2 MX400
..
Managed to pick up a Celeron 1.1G CPU(New in Box) cheep.. and I had a AOpen Socket 370-Slot 1 Adaptor card (no model number on this- have had it on the shelf for nearly a year)..
Tried Installing The CPU and Adaptor card in the MOBO.. Only to have a non Boot situation.. And regardless of the setting on the "SW" switches no boot.. Oh and when the PII is reinsatlled.. no effect on the operation at all.. the Rev 1-second edition Manual that I have seem to not mention a 'Auto setting" Switch??
So my questions..
Any one out there Had success with CPU's above 700Mhz in the GB - BX2000 ?
Any good sources of Slot 1 adaptors ? (I suspect it also- oh and my normal suppliers don't know what they are) Please realise Australia is not a local call to someparts of the world..
Or do I convince she who must be obeyed that a fourth computer is realy needed? Well i did get the CPU cheep didn't I?
Thanks for any advice..
