MS Java vs Sun Java
I was wanting to install a program called "JAlbum"
You have the option to download it wiith or without the Sun Java V3.1 which version 3.1 or higher is required for the program to operate.
I have, MS Java (Jview and WJview versions 5.00.3805 dated 6/02) so I did not think that I would need a newer version.
I installed the program, select Jview and then WJview during the install process. The install completed.
I attempted to run the Jalbum program and got the error that it could not find the Java needed to run the program.
Obviously, the program requires the 'Sun Java' and not MS's version.
My question:
If I install the Sun Java, will it override the MS Java or will my PC then contain and be able to use both?
Additionally, if the Sun version overrides the MS version does it create any problems experienced by anyone or is one as good (compatible) as the other?
