I have individual pst files - do I have to reinstall Outlook 2000 to import to EUDORA?

I have a pretty small system, so I'm trying to ensure I've only got what I need of M$ Office and Internet Explorer before installing and switching over to EUDORA from Outlook 2000. (wanted to try Pegasus, but I found importing a problem).

With intentions to import to EUDORA, I've exported all information I want to keep before I uninstalled and cleared out (best as I know how) Outlook 2000, OE (didn't use) and M$ Adress Book.

Did I mess up by exporting to pst and not to comma or tab text files though?
I doubt EUDORA is going to Import my pst fies, but I dunno

If conversion is necessary, is there a user friendly way to convert my pst files to the appropriate filetype(s) without reinstalling Outlook 2000 and/or M$ Address Book?
Also, any tips on a 'lean' install of Office 2000 (Word, P-Point, little else!)?
TIA...
