Overheating vid card during standby
Hi all.
Ive been exploring the standby features and STR features on my machine these past few nights.
I initinially liked this feature as it allowed fast return to windows from sleep mode and essentially shuts down machine and fans in suspend state with the exception of PSU fan.
However, I did notice that upon wake, the vid card temp sensor goes into overheat alarm exceeding 70 C. This can't be good.
I find it odd Vid card overheats when it appears monitor goes in off/standby mode. If there are no otherways to configure machine in standby, I probably should go back to blank screensaver and normal shutdown when not in use.
Any ideas?
