My friend has a Compaq and his Add/Remove programs dialog box is empty. Plus his DSL quit working.

He is trying to use the Compaq complete system restore to return to factory settings. He is supposed to insert the cd-rom and boot up. For him though, after boot up, there is no menu that comes up.

Question. Does anyone know what kind of restore program or image file is on the backup drive? Is is a PQ Drive Image file?

If so, can he use my PQ Drive Image 7 emergency disks I made for my 98se machine to access and load the image file?
