NetBEUI and TCP/IP
After reading some issues, I am really confused about network protocols. I read it is safer to use TCP/IP as a file sharing protocol.
It had been my understanding and I can very well be wrong, but I thought it was much safer to use NetBEUI for file sharing than TCP/IP as NetBEUI is not routable and therefore accessable only from the physical segment. Also, I thought NetBEUI was faster as the packet headers are smaller and more data could be transmitted in each packet. If anyone can clear this up, I would be very greatful.
