mind boggling
Just installed a D-Link DFE-530tx+ on one of the computers here, ran a crossover cable (brown-brown, wht brown-wht brown, green-orange, wht blue-wht blue, blue-blue, wht green-wht brown, orange-green, wht orange-wht green) and nothing. By the way, the light on the new card does not come on. Neither does the one in this computer come on. Why would the light not come on? Installed drivers and all. Did everything like I do at work, and nothing. I did the wizard and all, of course, not like at work, mind you, but the lights are bugging me. What do I do? I have a hub that runs 10 mbs, but want the 100 that a xover gives. But without the lights, I figure the hub won't matter....
Wait a minute, there was a cord in the box, and there was no mention in the documentation saying that the cord should go anywhere. Could this be the problem? If so, where in tarnation do I put the wire once it is connected to the card?
