Is there an easy way to figure out what unknown device windows finds and is looking for drivers for at startup? I am redoing a computer for a friend and I have tried all the discs i have that should be there. Modem is installed and the soundcard. Video adapter installed. Motherboard is an A-Open with everything on board but the modem and soundcard. Under system I get the yellow exclamation under unknown devices for the unknown device so that leads nowhere. I have search all fllders on each device disc I have and the majority of the win 98SE disc.
Any out there with experience in this matter?? thanks
