CD RW Drive stopped working
I deleted the Raid 0 array and used IDE 3&4 for a 40gb & 20gb drives as C:\ & D:\. IDE1 CD R/W master and E:\ 6.5gb drive as slave, IDE2 CD Rom.
This is a link to other problems, resolved. http://discussions.virtualdr.com/For...ML/049563.html
While loading programs I noticed once in a while the CD Rom and the CD RW would stop responding. But would after a while be ok.
All the sudden neither were reconized by Explorer or My Computer. After bumping around and rebooting the CD Rom was working, and reconized. The CD RW is still out. It is reconozed in the BIOS, on Bootup and in the device manager, but not in explorer or my computer. The light comes on when bootup or put in a CD, but go out quickly.
Checked all connections, the slave to it, the E:\ (6.5gb HD)is functioning fine and is reconized.
Thanks for any ideas.
