Router capacity
Argh, my longer post draft disappeared.
Hello!
If an old router (802.11n) used to work fine with 100mbps internet service suddenly stops working when internet speed is bumped up to 600mbps (no more outgoing LAN/wifi):
1. Is the router now useless, or can be reconfigured to see/acknowledge the new modem and speed? I?ve rebooted it many times, same result.
2. If the internet service speed is higher than the old router?s max capacity (150mbps, I believe) will it simply stop working like it?s doing now, or it should continue to work but will just reduce the speed to its max capacity? The latter would be ideal.
The internet isn?t used for much other than basic office stuff. Was just forced to upgrade speeds due to switching ISPs.
Thanks for any help!
