[RESOLVED] Windows 8.1 and Acronis not working together
Hi All, ..................... For years I used an Acronis CD to back up my Windows 7 computer with no problems. Now I'm getting familiar with a new Windows 8.1 system and it doesn't recognize the Acronis. Some differences between the two operations: With seven, I was backing up to a separate hard drive and with the 8.1 I'm trying to back up to a 78 GB external drive.
Previously on starting, I would boot from the Acronis CD and and would get a blinking cursor on a black screen followed by the Acronis procedures. Now the problem is that using the same start up process the 8.1 system goes directly to Windows. Does anyone have any suggestions which can get Win8.1 and Acronis working together?
