Search Function in Windows 7
How can I modify the search function in Windows 7 to find all of the *.sysTEM files on the hard drive. For example those found in the Windows\system32\drivers folder
Sometimes its good to know if a driver file exists in this location. Using the Start, Search box in Windows 7, this verification seems impossible.
The Windows indexing feature does not index to my knowledge files like DLLs or files ending in sys and therefore I have to use a command prompt to find these files.
For example if I type *.sys or *.dll in the search box, I get "no results found"
I tried the indexing settings from control panel...I tried adding the sys file type with no luck.
I must be doing something wrong. Can I revert to an XP style search? Can anyone help? Thanks
