System File Checker(SFC) 98SE
Since I ran across a reference to this on the internet and sometimes I have mouse lockup problems I figured I'd run this see what it comes up with. Here are its results:
System File Checker identified that the following may be corrupted:
setupx.dll
C:\Windows\system
It asks if I want to restore file and then it looks in 'C:\Windows\CATROOT' and finds nothing. Quick search on the internet indicates the original 98 SFC had a problem with this very file among a couple others. So before I go on I would like some advice. Should I download setupx.dll off the net or point it to some cab file somewhere on my system or on the 98SE disk? Should I take this 'corrupted file' case seriously? Should I go forward?
Need advice. Thanks!
