Alternate CPU cooling
I use an AMD 995 quad core cpu. It is about 2 years old with original amd heatsink and fan.
It is summer here and no air con in the room so it is very hot.
The CPU is usually on 46c to 48c , but this last week it is going as high as
62c and of course the pc is not peforming and even lockimg up.
The heatsink fan is at top speed and very loud. I have cleaned out the heatsink and repasted it.
I think the amd fan is nearing its use by date.
I am thinking of going to either a Corsair hydro H60 cooler
or a Thermaltake bigwater 760 cooling kit.
Any suggestion on either of these 2 devices is appreciated.
Thanks
