    Windows 98 does not connect to Microsoft's computers. Microsoft Windows 98 runs completely independently of other computers.

    Windows XP (And all newer OSs) connect to Microsoft's computers in at least 18 ways.

    I VALUE MY PRIVACY .... MY COMPUTER IS MINE,NOT SOMEONE ELSE'S TO SNOOP ON @ WILL!!
