Install an SSD with an IDE adaptor?
I have a PC running Windows XP (fully patched) and wish to install an SSD drive to improve performance. I only have 5 sata ports which are all taken up (4 by RAID HDDs and one by a DVD drive). I have one IDE port available which has the current HDD which the PC boots from (the one I will replace).
Will I get the performance increase by using a sata/ide converter to install the SSD?

Glyn
I have a number of systems that I am responsible for; especially when they are not working.
