I have tried a couple of times to follow the instructions but I am still unable to properly configure my WRT54G router into an access point plus 4 port router/switch. The goal is to connect my Sony Blu-ray player (BDP-S470) to the internet. I want to place the router next to my Blu-ray player and connect a cat5 cable between the two.

My main router is a Belkin F5D7234-4-BC v1 (ver. 1002).
Firmware Version: F5D7234-4_US_1.00.01
Boot Version: v1.02
IP Address: 192.168.1.1
IP Address range: 192.168.1.2 thru 192.168.1.100
It is currently connected to my PC via cat5 and I am using the wireless (WPA2-Personal and PSK). Overall it is a pretty basic setup.

My Linksys WRT54G v3
Firmware Version: 4.21.1
IP Address: 192.168.1.66

I am using my droid phone (app: wifi analyzer) and I see my new AP. Once I make all the chances in the Linksys I am unable to log back into it to make further changes and so I have to reset the unit. I assume I cannot log back in is because the ports on the router are deactivated. Once I configure the AP I connect it my laptop (via cat5 with wireless off) but the wired connection has an issue. The message states the connection is “Limited or no connectivity”.

Any additional thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
