About a week ago MS Security Essentials caught a couple suspicious items and I let it take care of them. About that time the PC (Windows 7) started acting slow. Browsing on the internet wasn't affected much, but any app I open takes waaay longer than it should. Trying to watch videos is what brought it to my attention. Even trying to watch small videos taken on my phone bring the computer to a screeching halt, and usually the video either freezes or is very choppy. Up until then this PC was very snappy.

Edit: I just got my first BSOD ever on Windows 7 by attempting to open Chrome; the computer was unresponsive for almost a moment, screen went blank, then BSOD and reboot.
