System Tray icons keep disappearing
Hi everybody, I could have sworn I'd seen this problem addressed in VirtualDr in the past, but can't find reference to it now. A Kellys Korner tweak fixed this several years ago, but it's cropped up again. On random system startups, my volume, power, Skype and Safely Remove Hardware icons all are missing. I can go into Control Panel and manually restore the volume and power icons; the other two are gone. Then I can go for several starts and all's well, until that next aggravating startup. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Skype to no avail, and I have no idea where to look for the hardware icon. That's beside the point, though; I have added no new apps or programs in months and rarely change settings. (I'm one of those boring people who leave something alone once I have it the way I want it. Like the driver's seat in my car. I set them when I bought it in 1990.)
Any ideas what's going on? Could a Java update or XP update have changed something somewhere? Any up-to-date fixes one can suggest?
