Ok, sorry for the long title, someone else who I saw at the top of the forum has a similar problem. Mine is a little different. The file I downloaded was a virus, I was aware of it when it finished downloading, the only thing I forgot was to right click and not double click. Like the idiot I am I double clicked. The file which I downloaded to the desktop disappeared just as I did that. Then the computer locked up. Force shutdown and a reboot. Freezes right when explorer launches, some icons are white and haven't loaded, mouse appears but won't move. Ok, so I went to safe mode a couple times and looked around to spot anything, nothing. Did a full malwarebytes scan, came out with 1 file. This particular file though can NOT be removed unless I reboot my computer, when I rebooted my computer it locked up. Went back to safemode to find the maleware script to remove the virus still in my startup programs list. Re did the scan and the virus is still on my computer.

Is there another way to remove this virus? I'm in safe mode now and have Malwarebytes open with the virus ready to be deleted, only though I can't because my computer freezes upon start up. I could try Super Anti Spyware or Avast and see if they require a reboot, but it'll take a bit too long cause I don't know if any of those would even pick up the virus. Or could I go into the folder and manually delete it?

help need ASAP, thank you
