Avast 5
Guys, I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with the new Avast, but I have to say a couple of things in it's defense. First, I've put it on seven machines since it came out with no problem at all. Second, yesterday and today I ran Super Anti-spy, Malware Anti-malware, and a tracking cookie cleaner on a Compaq; the first 3 found roughly 1400 pieces of malware (1300 or so were tracking cookies). Then I did a boot scan with Avast; it picked up 9 trojans and a rogue av. Seems to me that's such a big improvement over the old Avast it deserves a heck of a lot of credit. If you can get your installation problems worked out I think you'll like it.
