Last night while online I started getting these popup windows saying I was infected with viruses. It would not allow me to run McAfee, Internet Explorer or Yahoo IM Chat. Now a popup windows comes up asking me if I want to protect my computer from Malware and it has the shield on it very much like the Microsoft shield. I follow it and it makes me buy their software and then disappears. I still have the problems and no protection.

A friend points me to Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware and ran it while in safe mode and it found 24 records infected. I then rebooted and within a few minutes I started getting the popup windows with warnings again. I still cannot access McAfee, IE, or Yahoo Chat.

Same friend said you could help. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cathi
