I'm about to have cataract surgery which scares the heck out of me. The doctor makes it sound about as dangerous as getting a haircut but messing with the eyes is almost a phobia with me.

My question for someone who has had the procedure is was there a recovery period when your vision was impaired? If I can't read VDr I'll suffer withdrawal symptoms.
