Raydee--I am not sure if you really want to open IE screens Maximized or rather to a size that fills the screen. There is a difference.
A Maximized screen cannot be moved, nor can its size be changed. The middle of the little icons at the top of the IE screen (just to the right of the white X) will show as two squares--one superimposed on the other.
If you really just want that IE window to open to a size and shape of your choosing (and be movable) then follow this procedure:
Open an IE window (mother window). Now open a second IE window as a New Window (child window).
Using the edges and corners of the child window, drag to size and location as you want it.
Close the mother window.
Now close the child window. Some people say to hold down the Control or Shift key when you close it. I have not found that to be necessary. But it will not hurt anything.
The next time you open IE it should open in the size and location of the previous child window.
