My computer won't boot because it gave me a stop error. I need to get in the console and change a registry value. Anyways, I'm using the win xp hm sp3 CD that came from the manufacture. When I boot from the disc it goes to the manufacture default asking if I want to wipe the hd clean. My question is how do I avoid this and get to the recover console, or is there even one on the CD?? Please Help!! Need my computer back.
