Problem running SUPERAntiSpyware
While surfing the internet two windows popped up. The first said there is a security problem on your computer, click okay to continue. The second said it found viruses on my computer. I was eventually able to close the windows out by doing ctrl+alt+del and stopping the application. After this my computer froze and has been having a litany of problems from blue screens, freezing and deleting files upon start up. Previous to the two windows popping up my computer has been freezing for about a week.
I downloaded SUPERAntiSpyware installed it and am currently running it in safe mode. At first it starts running then stops on the same file HKLM\Software\Classes\CLSID\{4EDCB26C-D24C-4e72-AF07-B576699AC0DE}. I have restarted this program twice in safe mode and both times it stops at this point. It has been stuck here for well over an hour. Should I not run it in safe mode or perhaps run a different program instead?
Thanks for any help.
