I have a hp Pailion a1740n, one year old. Recently the dvd door began opening and closing repeatedly without any prompts from me. This happens everytime I use the computer. The only way I can stop it is to put a dvd in the drive, and load a file from the dvd and keep the file open all the the time. I think that this malfunction started when I backed up some files to a dvd a couple of weeks ago but I'm not sure.
