JAVA JVM
I would appreciate help in downloading the proper Java files to my Dell laptop (using W98SE and the Mozilla Firefox browser) that will enable me to read previously downloaded (and saved copies) of the NY Times that I obtain through NewsStand.com
Using the software provided by NewsStand, I am now able to download and view a copy of the NY Times and Save it. But I run into trouble when I attempt to retrieve the saved file later when I am off-line.
I see that my downloaded copy of the newspaper carries this message
“Browse off-line viewing requires that you install or upgrade Java Virtual Machine (JVM). If you know Java is installed please check your browser security settings and make sure Java is enabled.”
I doubt that I have the latest version of JVM.
- Which Java files do I need to download and where I can find them?
- Do I have to delete any existing Java files before I start the download and installation?
- How can I check my "Mozilla security settings" to see that Java is enabled?
Thanks.
Thank you.
