I think I am now finding a little bit of a pattern to this error ... because the laptop came preinstalled with all kinds of HP crap it seems that this error comes up if I click on the HP folder associated with all the preinstalled software ... tonight I clicked on the recovery partition and the error popped up ... it doesn't appear to happen any other time only with HP related stuff on the hard drive ... I did some searching online and found this which I will copy and paste here ..

1. Press and hold the "windows key" on your keyboard and press "R" as the explorer error is cycling through.
Type in "taskmgr" and press "enter".

2. Right click "explorer.exe" from the processes tab and click "end process tree", then choose "yes" of course and the endless cycling explorer error shouldn't bug you now.

is the above something I can do and is it okay to end this explorer.exe process tree or whatever its called ...

like I said, this error only seems to occur when I click on something associated with HP stuff .... I have a feeling that there are so many things running on this laptop associated with all the HP stuff and alot of this stuff I will probably never use ... I feel like I am being taken over by HP aliens
