[RESOLVED] [XP] Noisy Case fan
Have just replaced motherboard in Acerpower F1 with equivalent Foxconn board as Acer won't supply theirs - (they keep them for warranty work apparently) (but is same board slightly different layout). Foxconn 661MX Socket 478 onboard VGA 5.1 Channel Audio mATX Motherboard
All seems OK except the case fan seems to run at full power all the time and is really noisy to the point of drowning out TV.
Have looked in Bios but cant find any settings to alter speed or temperature cut in/out.
Have connected fan to Mobo as per the instructions that came with board so unless there is a jumper setting I need to change am at a loss why this should be.
CPU according to Bios is running at 45 degrees when idle which seems OK
(Celeron processor)
As always any and all help will be much appreciated.
