AVG Free Firewall Driver

Just a few minutes ago, I ran the updater for AVG Free. There was a program update available today and not just a regular definitions/database update. I noticed that one of the updates was a firewall driver. I haven't noticed this before and was just wondering why it was included. AFAIK, the free version of AVG doesn't include the firewall. Though, if it does, how do I disable it(I already run a software firewall and don't want conflicts)? I didn't see any options in the program or on anything on the grisoft.com website to indicate that there is now a firewall component to the free version.
