Why is IE7 SLoW??

Why does my IE7 work so slow? Does anyone know what I can do to make it load faster? Any suggestions or direct to any helpful links?

Chip set: NVIDIA MCP61, ASUSTek
AMD Athlon Processor 64x2 Dual Core 4400+
4 GB RAM, 300 GB Hardrive
