I am setting up an older hp machine for one of my young kids. I do not want to get fancy. I have a Pioneer DVD ROM drive that worked well enough before (I think....it was not my computer so I didn't use it.) This machine is not quite as fast and it has less RAM than the one that crashed. I am combining the two computers. One had a bad hd and the other has a bad video card. The attached screenshots show the setup that I have come up with. Do I just not have enough computer to properly run a DVD or do I have issues as a result of using salvage parts? Or is it something else entirely. Thanks for your help.
