[RESOLVED] Thinkpad A21m issue please help.
Windows 2000 professional is installed on it, I used everest home and it says I have an Intel PRO/100 SP mobile combo adapter.
When I go to IBM's website http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-42036
It says
Modem driver (Lucent AL or Intel PRO/100 SP combo card) for Windows 2000/XP - ThinkPad 600X, A2*, A3*, T2*, X2*, TransNote
ThinkPad A21m, A21p, A21e. Yet when I download and try to install this file
tpmd1g2x.exe 721,808 Modem driver (Lucent AL or Intel PRO/100 SP combo card) for Windows 2000/XP
It will not install properly, it says installing lucent win modem. Then it shows a picture of a phone and says Unknown.
An error occrued during the installation of the device. The system cannot find the file specified. The only thing I can do is click finish. What is so annoying about that error message is it won't give an an opertunity to find that file it can't find and it will not even tell me what file it needs.
Am I doing something wrong? Also when under network adapters it lists unknown adapter and when I try to uninstall it, it says failed to uninstall the device. The device may be required to boot up the computer. Whats up with that? I know it doesn't need a network adapter to boot the computer up.
