Great! Thanks for the info and input!
I'll go with IE7, keep an eye on CPU usage, and hopefully with new RAM and browser, this will all be resolved. (I was mostly using Mozilla and Firefox, but I guess I added too many extensions or something, was getting crashes left and right. Opera never did perform very well for me, and I tried several versions. So just went back to IE.) Perhaps a clean start with Firefox would be an added plus as well.
