Talking Installing new DVD Writer with CDRW onboard

    Howdooo,

I have a BTC COMBODrive CD-RW in the puter, and wanted to install a second Phillips DVD/CD Writer in the system..would this be right to assume that I should make the new DVD writer the MASTER and the (old) CD-RW the SLAVE on the jumpers?

Or does this Master / Slave talk only refer to the hard drives when you have more than one?

Does the audio cable then go into the NEW DVD drive and not the Slave CD -RW,or does this not matter either?

Does it matter where along the cable plug location on the string does the DVD/CD plug into? Since it's #1 master, the first one, then the Slave the second down the chain OR does this not matter?

Any other advice would be more than appreciated in hooking this up.

Thank you for all who reply!
