PC runs a little hot...
Hi everyone! I am currently using a Gateway 614GE that I upgraded. Since I added all of the extra stuff, my PC seems to be running hot. My fan speeds also seem to be pretty low. Here is what Everest has to say:
Motherboard-99 degrees F
CPU-95 degrees F
1st HDD-104 degrees F
2nd HDD-104 degrees F
CPU Fan-2801 RPM (!)
Case Fan-2220 RPM (!)
I know they should be at least double that.
My question is: Since my motherboard seems to be a standard Micro ATX form factor, can I simply buy a new case & better fans to cool this thing off a bit? I also want to replace the PSU. My current one is a 300W Bestec (never heard of 'em). I want to get a 500w name brand PSU that I know will last. Is it possible to turn a Gateway into a generic?
I put a lot of good parts into this machine, and I don't want them to get heat damage. Thanks in advance!
