    mail settings question

    win xp pro,outlook express. Recently did a reformat -installed win xp. Forgot how I set outlook express to highlite a message with the mouse and then get to block sender without opening [viewing ] the message.. Please refresh my memory thanks.

    Highlight the message->Click "Message" toolbar at the top and then click Block Sender.
    If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

    I need to know how to highlite the message and not open it so I can do a "block sender" at that point. I used to be able to do it but memory fails me on how I set it up. I know how to do what you have advised,but I do not want the message to open previous to blocking the sender.. Thank!

    Turn off the preview pane. Go to View>then Layout> Uncheck "Show preview pane".
