    lcd screen messed up...

    my friends dell inspiron 1000 laptop is having some screen issues... im not quite sure if its hardware or software but immidiately after she logs in, the backlight on her LCD screen immidiately turns off... any ideas?

    PSP, its like cheese you can listen to outside

    As far as your friend's backlight, perhaps an idea in this long list

    If your friend's dell inspiron 1000 is still in warranty, she should phone Dell. Dell often sells fairly long warranties when you buy.

    Does the same thing happen in safe mode or logged on as another user?
    Have you checked the screen diming options in the bios if it has one?
