Lost explorer.exe
While working on a friends computer I discovered that his "My Documents" file was missing from the disktop. After looking I found "My Documents" but discovered that Windows explorer was MIA. Everytime I clicked on Windows explorer I got "My Documents" I searched and found explorer.exe but got the same result. Has anybody seen this before? How do I restore Windows explorer?

The computer won't run without explorer.exe...
What happens if you click Start->Run and type Explorer.exe
If it open My Docs, you have an issue with FOLDER "file types"
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Thanks for the reply Steve. I tried that and got "My Documents". Giving this some thought I don't see the double pane that's normal for Win explorer. Could there be a folder option some place that's been changed. He says his son-in-law was messing with his computer trying to install software for a cheap dig. camera. Windows explorer is a very useful program-hate to see it lost.
